Meklo was founded in 1965 by Peter Klomp and Henk Memel. Meklo was built on the foundations of authentic craftsmanship and to this day Meklo prides itself with the outstanding and meticulous work of almost 50 years ago. Today, Meklo is a third generation family business. The factory and showroom are situated in the original premises in Vanderbijlpark.
Our passion for creativity and natural elements the company has established itself as a manufacturer of natural wood furniture, and produces healthy, flexible, highly durable room interiors in contemporary designs for home, office and public buildings that are in harmony with nature.
We are designers and manufacturers in solid wood, semi-solid, veneers, painted techniques, wraps and melamine. Meklo’s large factory and recently revamped showroom make it a favourable climate for both our corporate and private clientele. Our “in-house,” designers meet our client’s requests with creativity and imagination.
Meklo’s consignments extend to Botswana, Swaziland, Mpumalanga, KwaZulu-Natal and we currently exporting custom designed chairs to Holland.

We are also incorporate in Swaziland as Meklo eSwatini, which is a joint venture company with Capston Investments t/a Woodcity.
WHAT WE DO
We specialize in high-end design and manufacture of custom furniture.
We engage with the client from initial point of contact to the final product. We listen to your requirements, and together with you, custom design your kitchen, bathroom, living room, bar or bedroom to your specifications.
We are conscious of protecting the environment and prefer to work with like-minded suppliers.
Meklo is accustomed to dealing with the corporate market and have worked closely with South African Breweries, National Petroleum Refiners of SA (NATREF), Cape Gate, Southern Sun (Tsogo Sun) and Oasys Innovations.
